Smart Home is a collective term for products and solutions that are used in the household, are linked to each other and in most cases also connected to the internet. With regard to the individual products, the term "Internet of Things" (IoT) is often used - i.e. the fact that formerly analogous objects are now connected to the internet.
Other related terms are home automation or networked devices.
Subcategories include smart lighting, smart energy, smart security and smart home appliances.
